Today I will talk about technology

Taken from Wikipedia:

Technology is the usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects the ability to control and adapt to an environment. A strict definition is elusive; technology can be material objects of use to humanity, such as clothing, but can also encompass broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include "construction technology", "medical technology", or "state-of-the-art technology".

The human species began to use technology with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools. The prehistorical discovery of the ability to control fire increased the available sources of food and the invention of the wheel helped humans in travelling in and controlling their environment. Recent technological developments, including the printing press, the telephone, and the Internet, have lessened physical barriers to communication and allowed humans to interact freely on a global scale, however, not all technology has been used for peaceful purposes; the developments of weapons of ever-increasing destructive power has progressed throughout history, from clubs to nuclear weapons.

Technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways. In many societies, technology has helped develop more advanced economies(including today’s global economy ) and has allowed the rise of a leisure class. Many technological processes produce unwanted by-products, known as pollution, and deplete natural resources, to the detriment of the earth and its environment. Various implementations of technology influence the values of a society and new technology often raises new ethical questions. Examples include the rise of the notion of efficiency in terms of human productivity, a term originally applied ony to machines, and the challenge of traditional norms.

Because we don’t have internet access , my friend, Matby lends me a USB memory that has access to internet with Tigo as provider. As you can see, I have idle time a lot, and I take that time for study Cisco and to write here in my English learning process. As you know I am systems Engineer and I have to be studying to be competitive at the labor market. My goal this year Is to become a Ccna certified engineer also to become a java SCWCD for improving my possibilities for salary increase.

I am already SCJP, it is the first java certification, it was very hard to pass the examination because I had to work during three and a half months, I got 73 % as score, it is good but It could have been better, but anyway it is good . I will talk about Transmilenio

I will talk about Transmilenio Transmilenio is a massive mean of transportation working in bogota since 2000, its construction begun in 1998, by the time Enrique Peñaloza was Major(Alcalde), inaugurated on December 4, 2000, it started to operate on December 18 of the same year. Since then new trunks have been opened and there are others under construction. Antecedents: The massive mean of transportation of the third milenniun, Transmilenio, is part of the SITP(Integrated Public Transport System) of bogotá that include the bicycle routes network and the future projects of the Train of cercanias an the first metro line. With the investment financed with a percentage of the surcharge to the fuels an the input from the Capital District and the national government was possible to launch this service. the construction of infrastructure and road system and the manteinance of these is developed by the Urban Development institute. System consists in articulated vehicles with fixed stops at exclusive stations. Users pay 1600 Colombian pesos (approximately US$0,75 o €0,53) in lockers located in each station. I works like a metro but with articulated buses. thus, Transmilenio is one of the bus rapid transit system. Generally, there are two ways of exclusivity on both sides of the station, to allow that the articulated buses of the express service surpass to the current service. System is based in the integrated network of transport of the Curitiba city, but there are some differences, such as the passenger access doors on the left side of buses, allowing that only one station to operate in both direcctions, so if a passenger inadvertently passed his destination station, then he can take a bus in inverse way to return, without the need of paying an additional ticket; in addition, Stations with access ramps and a great use of the passenger bridges (Very traditional in the city). in addition, it was the first system of this kind in using the concept of feeder bus routes, which the cost is integrated to the ticket of the main routes (trunks) In Curitiba, each station covers a direcction and its access are upstairs and electrical drawbridge. Transmilenio system is the second type BRT implemented in latin America(First was Curitiba in Brazil ), the fist in colombia and one of the more successful due to the high urban density in bogota, by that reason has been taken as model for some projects of this type being built in some countries of Hispanomarica. In the Transmilenio system was implemented a total uniformity in colour of the buses, regardless of the route, and uniformity of payment, allowing that with a flat fee ticket passengers can travel in any of the timetable of the day in which the system is operating, this has allowed better collection efficiency and more favorable impact on users. That is all folks.

Today i will talk about my dreams.

Everybody has dreams, at least when we were children we had so many dreams , dreams isnpired by sports, tv programs and more. Whe i was a child i wished to be an actor, futbol player and drug dealer, it was exciting for me. over the years dreams change, they are according to the circumstances and the environment in which we live.

When i was a teenager i dreamt beign a systems engineer professional, but mi parents did not have enough money to pay the university, so i had to work har to achieve it, but i did it, i could to go to the university and course my university carrer, i'm very proud of myself. I remember I worked raising and selling chickens, i went to the street to sell, knocking on doors, it was really hard because i was a boy very shy and it was very difficult to start a conversation, even more a conversation with the purpose of selling, however i overcame the fear and i had success. Then in 1996 i graduated and apply to the university but i was rejected, it was very hard for me, So I had to get help to enter, a teacher, former boss of my father help me, so i started my studies at the university.

At the beginnig the university process was very difficult for me, because my student level was low, and i lose severall subjects, but next semester i recovered all. so the first year were then it was not so difficult and i could approve all and at last i graduated in 2003. So, my dream of being a professional systems engineer came true.

Right now i have so many dreams but i don't have enough time to tell you. see you soon.
